99 Grand Jeep Cherokee won't stay running
Looking for help in Staten Island, NY or New Jersey area. My 1999 Grand Jeep Cherokee won’t stay running.

I had check the timing twice and its right on the money. I need some help with this, if anyone want some free pizzas and beer please let me know when you could come by and help.

it 4.0 and it has gas.
I did get spark.
no codes.
took out the injectors and had my wife turn the engine over and fuel came out the injectors.
And yes it was running before.
Also change the cam sensor
This was a rebuild motor and the engine compression check out fine. But every time i try to start it sound like its back firing. But then sometimes it will catch a run for a few seconds and then shut off. I 've been working on this Jeep on and off since November of last year and I really need to finish it before the summer is over.
The only thing I have not change is the crank sensor on the flywheel.

I just install the crank sensor on my 99 WJ and I"m still having the same problem. The jeep started right up ran for 35 sec with this loud vacuum noise coming from the throttle body and then it cut off. At this I have 2 options 1. Could get my hands on another 4.0l replace the engine 2. Could get my hands on a V8 4.7 (Engine, Transmission, wiring harness pretty much everything I ould need for the engine swap.
Please tell me which is the best route, I need to get my WJ running before the summer is over.

Check your timing if you have fuel spark and air it should run but if you don't have spark at the right time it won't.I hope this helps.

Check the fuel pressure. The sucking sound you heard was the IAC motor trying to compensate for fuel starvation.
