Im ordering a set of tires in a week or two.. But I cant decide which to go with..

I dont want any smaller than 32", im considering a 33" tire, but im still unsure if it is too much for stock gearing. I work at goodyear so I get tires at cost. So my only two options being..

32x11.50 Goodyear MTR with Kevlar



Or 33x12.50 Goodyear Duratrac. (Does not come in a 32")




My Jeep is a daily driver. It does see a fair amount of mud, but it also gets driven in the snow/ice in winter time.. Road noise isn't an issue for me. What would you pick?

Next time I need tires i'm getting those 32" kevlars, i'm actually trying to wear my wrangler rt/s's down quick so i have an excuse to get the kevlars lol, i hate having a 3" lift with stock tire size

Of those, upgrade to 33x12.50 mt/r. Neither are known for being spectacular mud tires though.

I would go 33", both are good all around tires but have so so reviews for mud....

have you ever seen the new MTR in person? if you had it would not be a tough choice at all

also... have you considered treadwrights?

mine are doing GREAT so far, got close to 500 miles, some mud and a few minutes on the trail...

they feel fine running 85mph on the highway (confirmed via GPS)

your specs show you have a 3" lift... if that is the case, then you better be ready to chop that pretty little body...

Went with the MTR's. Happy with my decision so far. And they are a lot quieter than I thought they would be

I went with 33' Duratracs cause I live in an area that got almost 800 inches of snow last season... Duratracs had great snow reviews from everyone (and they are awesome in snow, almost as good as snow tires). I can't compair them to much as my last 4x4 had some Open Country AT's which the duratracs top in every way except noise. Hope my review helps.

I went with the dura trac. 325/75/R16. Im located in Az. and I love them. They handle great on and off the road.

I run 33" duratracs. They are awesome. In snow they excel and have a severe weather rating. They do good in just about every terrain that I tried including mud, loose dirt, rocks, and wet rocks. Last winter I went up a small trail in 10" snow with 6" rocks underneath and some good ruts and didn't need 4wd. I couldn't friggin believe it.

I'm debating weather to get 35s right now and if they offered duratracs in 35" , I would be driving on them by now.

i am torn between the bfg km2s and the durratracks. i would not get the MTRs because they are suposed to be horrible on the road...as far as tire wear is concerned. and if your spending that much money on tires you had better hope they last longer than 20k miles!

I dont think the MTR's w/ Kevlar are on there. But almost every tire is.

I have a set of 31x10.50xr15 Duratrac's and love them. Got them just as they went onto the market and they have lasted me till now. I will be buying another set because of how well they worked for me.

My vote is Duratracs, got them over a year ago and haven't regretted my decision. Amazing in snow and loose sugar sand, decent in mud, never got stuck with them as long as the tires were actually touching the ground!

They do make 35's just not sure about a 15 inch rim. My dads got em in 17s and he loves them. I vote Duratracs if you do more on road, or snow and ice driving. My buddy has MTRs and while they have been good he hasnt been that impressed with them.
