Default Stock tire sizes

I've had my 1991 Jeep Cherokee for 4 years now and always kept the size tires on it, I'll type my tire size on here later. But I got 4 new tires of the same size last year so I'll do a change to the next size the next time that comes around. I was parked next to "Im going to guess a 97 Cherokee Sport" and it sat way up higher than mine, probably the roof was high as my roof rack crossbars. It was a stock. What size tires did they install on 97-01 Cherokees?
Heres mine Cherokee as you can see, Looks short and low. There 15" tires but will give the tire numbers later.

Mine sits level with the metal strip that runs above the doors to the very back.

cherokees either came with 225/75R15 tires (pioneer/sport/upcountry) or 215/75R15 (classic/base/SE)

you can fit up to a 235/75R15 without rubbing issues on stock lift

Why the mystery on the tire sizes on the two jeeps?
It is possible that you were parked beside a Cherokee with the upcountry suspension on it. Mine has it and it sits an inch higher than stock.

x2 - upcountry will sit higher, or you could easily lose or gain an inch or two from old sagging springs vs newer replaced springs.

No just a spare full size tire.

Here is my tires: PepBoys P205/75R15 Cooper Trandsetter SE
So what is the recomended size I should get?

Cleaned my Jeep Cherokee today and waxed.

Hopefully this is a better image to compare to the 97-01 hight

yup. 205's are too small, in my oppinion. mine has 215/75/15, noe. but as soon as my wheels get here, I'm putin on a set of 235's. if your not doin anything with the suspension anytime soon. I'd go with 235's. you might also look into a new set of rear springs. or at least a set fo add-a-leafs, cause your lookin preaty saggy in the back.

OKay I'll get them the next time then, I just got these tires before winter at pepboys and are still new. Leafs by the looks of it are not hard to change right? I'm actually wanting to get everything redone on mine, cleanup and paint the axels and get new floor panels put in, For sure their rusted out
