Default whining noise

Does anybody know what could cause a whining noise up deceleration? As soon as I take my foot off the gas there's a whining noise that lasts until I slow down to about 15mph. I don't think its the tranny cause it makes the sound in neutral too. I have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport btw.

Any help is appreciated.

It only whines deceleration (Alothough it might whine while driving but its not too noticeable). I live in Orlando, Florida so I doubt it's the weather. Sounds like its coming from under the body maybe mid to rear-end.

Check the rear end, especially the Pinion Bearing for slop. I'm pretty sure its common for the pinion bearing to whine under decel if its shot.
