Hello,

I was looking for this after getting back to my radiator replacement, which I put on hold for a few days due to weather. Seen a few others who might need this.

I think it is incorrect (reversed). If u follow the forward most line on the passenger side of the tranny in the drawing, it appears to connect to the radiator at the upper connection when the line actually connects to the rad at the lower connection.

Well luckily I have not hooked it up yet because it is still raining. Do you happen to have a picture of the correct way for my 1990 cherokee laredo 4x4 v6? I can't find a good picture anywhere.

in my factory service manual i saw this exact pic and noticed that it looked like the lines were backwards, didnt know for sure though

There's only one way to be absolutely 1000% sure on tranny fluid flow.....disconnect a tranny fluid line and run the 2 into some kind of containers, start the motor and let it run for 4-5 seconds. One container will have fluid, one won't. The container that has fluid in it is the fluid line that exits the tranny and sends fluid to the rad to be cooled.

i know when JP did an article on tranny coolers a while back, they had it hooked up the other way (reverse of the pic)

Could anyone post a picture of their own cooling system, or a write up which would have this included. It would really help thanks.

If u are talking about tranny lines that connect to the radiator, there 2 different connectors, can't get them wrong.

Just remember that diagram is wrong/reversed......hot tranny fluid exits the front tube on the side of the tranny to the bottom of the cooler located in the rad. The cooled tranny fluid exits the top line on the rad and is returned thru the rear tube on the side of the tranny.

No. Apples to oranges in many ways.

Yup. Different transmission. In general though, you want to pump the oil into the bottom of the cooler so you don't trap air in it.
