cherokee blower motor problem
Hi, im new to the forums and hoping for some help. I have a 97 cherokee sport that the blower motor doesn't work on. Tried changing the blower motor, control switch and relay, check fuses, all a no go. The only thing I can think of would be the blower motor resistor. Would this cause the blower motor not to work at all. I also checked the blower motor connector and it has no power going to it. I was also wondering which wire going to the control switch is the hot wire. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I agree that the resistor could potentially be the culprit here. It's truthfully a poor design and way too susceptible to moisture. It's located under the glove compartment screwed into the ductwork. You'll see a wiring plug stuck into a triangular black or grey module held in the duct with two screws. When it goes bad, it most commonly makes the fan speeds below high non operational.
