I'd be willing to pitch in a couple bucks for gas if he finds the parts we both want.

Does your XJ already have the threaded frame holes to mount the xfer skid? I had to drill and do the nutsert install on my 98'. I've got extra inserts if you need a few.

Otherwise, we could probably fab a skid with extra material I have on hand.

I'd be cool with meeting you at the rest stop in the middle of the ally? Or maybe I might do a day trip with the lady over in Miami and I could meet you guys some where next weekend if I find them? We will figure it out

No I don't but I thought the bolts that come with the skid are self tappers besides the ones in the crossmember

As far as I know OE used nutserts. JCR does too,

http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1034114

I'd think the self tappers would waller out after removing them a couple times. They'd need to be fine thread, not coarse as well seeing how thin the frame is.

I didn't know that...that's how I did it with my engine skid...when I took it off the cherokee my comanche didn't have original nutserts but did have the holes....but the cherokee had the oringinal self tapper bolts so as the 2nd one I had found in the jy

Typical junkyard run....lol...I would literally go maybe about 4 days out of the week for weeks and found nothing then don't go for a week then all if a sudden something is telling me to hit the jy...I usually have luck finding stuff but not lately....

Well until they started changing their process of recycling cars for metal...the ones down by me would only last a week sometimes a few days but since lkq bought them out cars and trucks sit for weeks which is good when you try to accumulate cash for a diff or something but sucks because you will have to wait a while till something new pops up
