laws are funny. most cops dont even know them. i got pulled over with a windsheild out of my vehicle. got a ticket. beat it because the law doesnt state you have to have a windsheild it states you have to have a windsheild wiper.

Kinda funny, IOWA

thats my favorite. officer i have windshield wipers. can you point out were in the law were it says i need to have a windshield. but take it from me a windshield is a very important part of a car my dad is in the glass industry and a improperly installed front windshield can result in death or serious injury when in a roll over. always watch the person installing your windshield. they can not touch the primer after applied to both windshield and car. make sure they lay a nice stream of glue. it has to be black. let your windshield sit for and hour after being installed. try not to drive long distance for 24-hours if you can.

Most states law is if it came from the factory with removable doors then there are no issues. In Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, I have had issues with cops and HALF doors because it didnt come from the factory with half doors.

run around town and find out.......

it was dumb. i was driving a 70s pickup 12 miles home after i bought it. it was a project and had no windows. a local car builder guy told me the law and how to beat it. just thoguht it was entertaining. duno if it has changed since then. doubt it.

There are a bunch of dumb laws every where. i think my town has one about spitting on sidewalk after 9am its a mistaminer. retarded and not enforced but its there

my dad is already the lowest price for windshields in Des Moines. he doesn't even give some of my best friends discounts. I've tried before. I don't even get a discount. and I'm his freaking son. i have to pay for the glass and pay for the materials and do the labor myself. if i want to save money thats why I roll around with crack and chipped windshields all the time.

I just spoke with Kansas Highway Patrol troop A &
Missouri Highway Patrol troop A
both state there is NO statute that require doors on your vehicle.
Kansas requires side mirror but Missouri does not as long as "All motor vehicles which are so constructed or loaded that the operator cannot see the road behind by looking back or around the side of the vehicle shall be equipped with either an inside or outside mirror, or both, that will reveal the road behind."
