Unhappy factory mistakes

.ordered our trailhawk from factory through dealer in Alvin texas.
1.they put painted wheels in place of polished aluminum, 2.standard manual passanger seat instead of Electric operated
3.regular drivers door instead of one with 2 driver auto adjustment memory switch
4.I cannot find directions in owners manual for towing all four wheels down, although that was a condition for purchasing this vehicle.

Other than that we love the way it looks and handles. Select-a-track feature is a great addition. Several local law enforcement organizations looking at buying several as shadow pursuit cruisers. I am with Police and Clergy Alliance as a Chaplain.

We suspect that due to this being a new model that the salesman did not know what he was doing in making out the factory order, on issues 2,3,&4

I would be taking it back. You didn't notice these issues before you drove off the lot?

5. Factory placed large, hideous turn signals on top of hood.

And I'm not seeing a Cherokee as a pursuit vehicle, doesn't seem fast enough.

Yeah, take it back. I don't understand what the question is. You didn't get what you paid for.

I'm curious why you took delivery of the vehicle if it wasn't what you ordered?

Welcome to CF Sir! Id scan over what they charged you for the features you've selected and have them subtract that cost from the initial price. That is if you are happy with the vehicle as is. Also please feel free to check out and post in the rest our new KL Section.

Someone at the dealership level messed up. I would do as Outlaw Star suggests and make sure you didn't pay for things not received.

Glad you're enjoying it in spite of your less than optimal buying experience.

Welcome to Cherokee Forum.

Driven one?

Are you coming on here to just slam the KL? Seems to be a habit of yours.

Didn't we make it perfectly clear that doing so was unacceptable right off the get-go?

Me too.... The fact that you accepted delivery, as is, technically absolves the dealer of responsibilty for mistakes made in the order process. Unless you have paperwork showing the rig is not as ordered.

Sounds like the dealer messed up because the trailhawk could not be ordered with some of those options.

I wonder how much stuff will change in the next years, just like when the patriot/ compass came out, then they changed them for the better in 2012.

The only thing constant in life is change. Many vehicles have come and gone in the course of history. Some change/evolve to become better models, others just fade out due to sales, mech problems, etc.. As for the KL, it's still new in its stages. It may stay, it may change and evolve further. Only time will tell.

In case you hadn't noticed sir, it's 2014 not 1994 so pipe down, some of us actually like the look of the new Cherokee.
