Thanks @fitrider82 for letting us know. @CCKen helped so many people including myself. I DM'd him several years ago to ask if he was OK.

Sad to learn of his passing.

Sorry to bug you. I have code p1694 and I've tested all the things you mentioned to others and what I find is .5 volts supplied to the cps. Also a17 from the pcm has 3.4 volts. Really stuck thank you for any possible help.

Hey I see you haven't been on in a while so I hope you get this. I was doing some research on 4.0 timing and installation and you seem to be very knowledgeable. I have a question that I bet you could answer. Let me know if you are available for a discussion. Thanks.

CCKen,Thank you so much for all of the content you have posted. I have followed your advice throughout many threads and have learned a ton from you!I purchased a 1998 XJ Sport for my daughter last October for her first vehicle (Gunmetal!) and needless to say it has turned into my project vehicle. It has needed a lot of work and I have done as much as I can on my own. I am a novice in automobile repair but am willing to take the time to research and learn in order to do things myself the right way. You and many others on the forum have definitely helped. Newbies like me are very fortunate to have these types of social media sites available. Not sure what I would do without them. Thanks again for your knowledge sharing!

    Hello CCKen,
I have a 2000 XJ, fwd, 4.0. A while ago you posted a wiring diagram for a 1999 XJ HVAC system. My problem is the blower is running constantly when the ignition is on, even when the HVAC switch is in the off position. I removed the blower relay and found I have voltage across the DB/VT and BK wires. I also removed the electrical connections from the HVAC switch while testing this. Do you know why I would have constant 12vdc on the DB/VT wire? Thank you for your input.
