Photojared, Can I pick your brain a bit? I like what I see of your set up and eventually hope to do some off-roading and camping in the desert. I'm not going for a rock-crawler, just a functional, reliable, fun ride that will get me around most places in the desert. I'm new to Jeeping and just bought a '98 XJ Classic. It's been well cared for but is in need of basic maintenance to bring it up to a point I can start "improving" it. I am considering a mild lift instead of just replacing the shocks. Zones 3" for $290 seems about right for my plan. Do you think 3" is enough? Is the add-a-leaf reasonable or is the cost of full leaf-packs worth the money?

Also, "Photo"jared? Hobbiest or pro photographer? Canon or Nikon?

    Regards,
    Gene aka Mudshark99

I'm in Las Vegas. I won't be looking for Moabs for a while though. After my current tires wear out I'll look for some and upgrad to 33s
