M.I.G. application er 70-6 used for most common jobs. er 70- (3) is used to plug weld or repair holes that need to be drilled out again because its softer material and wont break drill bits ect. also used in T.I.G applications.er 309 is used to weld s/s to mild steel to keep it from cracking...if you have any questions feel free to hit me up . congrats, on the new job....

food for thought'' every welder has a duty cycle. example if your machine says 190amp with 30% (duty cycle) it works like this ,every (10) minute period, your machine must ''rest'' for 7 minutes of 3 minutes of continuous welding.. HUH? ok you can weld for 3 minutes straight out of every 10 minutes, but allow the machine to cool for the remainder of the ten minutes which is (7) minutes.. even on professional equipment unless its 100 % duty cycle..

92/8 gas is best, but more costly.less spatter.you need some co2 never straight argon..92%argon 8% co2..as for craftsman vs hobart..craftsman is made in Italy. Hobart ,china.(I believe) craftsman will take a tweco gun and hobart wont...I had the hobart and brought it back the next day for the craftsman much beter spool feeder and drive rollers.this has been my experience. My craftsman with cart was like 500$.always have a good ground.with a shunt in ground clamp.hope this helps.??

Hey! Quite a while ago I made a post about doing a week long scout camp with offroading. At the end you mentioned you recently became an eagle so I wanted to congratulate you. I am also an eagle as of a month ago.
